Competitions
MTNA/NJMTA Student Composition Competition
Who:Grades 1-12 and high school graduates
When: Application and required material postmarked by October 2, 2001
Winners Recital:Winners are required to perform at the MTNA Winners
Recital on November 17 and 18 at the NJMTA State Convention. Location TBA.
Note: State winners proceed to Eastern Division Finals. Divisional
winners will play in the National Finals March 16-20, 2002.

NJMTA Young Artists Competition for Piano

MTNA/NJMTA Collegiate Chamber Music Performance Competition
Who: Ensemble members must be high school graduates who
have not reached age 27 as of March 17, 2002, or must be currently enrolled in
college and not have reached age 27 as of March 17, 2002. Entrants need not be
enrolled in college. Ensemble members must enter the competition in the state
where the coaching sessions are given. Ensemble members may not enter in more
than one state. Ensemble members may not enter in more than one ensemble.

international full-time students with valid student visas. Applicants must be
between the ages of 16 and 22 as of April 6, 2002.
